The classic ride that opened our 2026 season: we met at the METU Eymir Lake main gate and rolled out along the northern shore for a 42 km loop that is almost entirely asphalt.
Pace was deliberately easy. The goal was to let new members learn the group’s riding order and hand signals, and to try gear selection on a short climb. The group stayed together as a single block and tried rotating paceline work for the first time.
A short stop at the lakeside covered water and snacks, then we retraced the route back to the start. Total elapsed time was 2 hours 10 minutes including the break.
